Possibly the worst accommodation experience in the past thirty years. Cleanish is not the same as CLEAN. The carpet did not appear clean, the toaster required a clean, the toilet in urgent need of a clean with urine stains down the side and at the base. This poor standard is unacceptable, yet persons gave 5 stars in their reviews, they need their own credibility questioned for gross exaggeration. The front door is damaged and easily fixable, as with the missing blind strip. The driveway is gravel, I know this is in a country town, but no excuse to be backward. Landscaping, what landscaping, weeds do not constitute a suitable effort. How do women with high heels walk in gravel? First time I have seen an empty fridge, at least have the courtesy to provide some water in a jug, trust me, it's not a big ask. Why would you have the tv just below the ceiling, is this your anti theft devise? You provide a toaster, but no cutlery, good one, mate. Large gaps in the ceiling cornice, grout missing in bathroom tiles and dirty tiles where bathroom floor meets wall, very poor effort. My vocation is renovations, spend $50 on No More Gaps, grout and silicone, this unit would immediately be transformed. Women need a decent size shelf in the bathroom re their make up, etc, not that tiny effort you provide. We didn't dare test your food as all confidence in your standards by now became depleted. We stayed two nights, the bathroom had not been cleaned, this is an appalling lack of customer safety, welfare and HYGIENE. The walls are either brick or besser brick, REALLY? In 2019? As you may have guessed, I would not recommend this establishment, but the choice is yours. The $90 room did not constitute good value, if you're desperate for a room, I suggest you sleep in your car as a more preferable option. For the record, I have photos of all my observations. I agree with you in that it is budget accommodation, but 5 stars? You serious? Is James Fricker one of the 95% respondents to whom you refer, where he has given every one of his 79 reviews 5 stars, do you find this credible? If you are content with your current standards, then please, by all means continue as you are and disregard any negative and/or constructive comment. Pleased refreshings are imminent. Cheers.
We stayed at the Anglers Inn at Wallaroo recently and were very happy with the great bed , excellent shower, reasonable cleanliness and most of all the air conditioner as it was very hot 40 deg. When we rang to book back in November we were told a certain price per night and when we booked in the price had been put up by $10. It was not a lot of money but I had booked two other rooms for family and had to tell them the bad news.Three rooms for two nights= $60 more overall. The attached restaurant missed out on over $500 dollars for a measly backing out on a firm Quote.
Tabs the bar attendant no longer there . This hotel missing the good vibes that she brought to the place with her friendly personality. Still worth a visit to indulge in food, pokies and a cold pint of beer. Accommodation in motel units is ok. Try the drive in bottle shop for takeaway booze and ice.
Dont bother if they are busy - as I have a weekender in Wallaroo we wanted a quick meal on a busy Saturday night. Thought the Beef Masala would be "ready prepared" and would not take long to prepare two dishes. Well, this was true but what was served up would cause a riot in a prison - literally NO beef pieces in my wife's serve. When pointed out to the waitress - she expressed shock - then did nothing until we ASKED for some beef pieces - god knows what goes through their minds? The manager does not lead by example and show some urgency in dealing with orders - and only one staff member showed ANY desire to work quickly whilst so busy. Forget this - never again.
Went to their all you can eat Curry night, very nice get variety. Also went to the Thursday senior lunch special (Im not a senior took my dad) Absolutely Beautiful!!!.Soup was delicious, roast was so tasty and a huge portion. Two delicious desserts and free tea or coffee. Great value highly recommend it.
